A few months ago, an international group of gay men engaged in an orgy at a pride event in the Canary Islands. One or more of the participants had monkeypox. A number of the men who participated in the orgy went back to continental Europe, participated in more orgies, and began spreading monkeypox. Some of those people were Americans who brought monkey pox back to the United States.
The spread of monkeypox had mostly been confined to the gay community, mostly spread through group sex. Now, several children have it. They have gay parents in open sexual arrangements who participated in sexual activities with one or more other people, not their partner.
"Both of those children are traced back to individuals who come from the men-who-have-sex-with-men community, the gay men's community," Control Prevention and Control (CDC) Director Rochelle Walensky said Friday. We essentially have a global map of participants in orgies and those with whom they came in sexual contact. If only one of the girls in Jeffrey Epstein’s care had monkeypox, we’d have a global map of billionaire sex traffickers. Instead, we have a global map of hedonistic gay men.
This is the uncomfortable truth.
A friend sent me a link the other day to a Twitter thread of a gay porn star who contracted monkeypox after participating in several orgies over a week-long period, including a birthday orgy for a friend and encounters with strangers met over the internet. An acquaintance flagged an article for me on a gay news site that advised gay men to be safe but also noted they should not be stigmatized by monkeypox because usually, the symptoms are mild, and contracting it just shows they’re more willing to have sexual adventures. I’m not going to share those links because you really don’t want to go there. I pity the heterosexual or monogamous gay man who gets monkeypox through close contact at the office. That person is going to be stigmatized. The men at the orgies seemingly don’t really care.
Read this story about Sebastian Köhn. Mr. Köhn works for George Soros. One of his jobs is to normalize global prostitution. In this piece at the Guardian, he talks about how he contracted monkeypox during Pride festivities in New York.
I had sex with several guys over the weekend. Then a week later, on 1 July, I started feeling very fatigued. I had a high fever with chills and muscle aches, and my lymph nodes were so swollen they were protruding two inches out of my throat.
He got monkeypox and gonorrhea. His gonorrhea is treated as an afterthought in his commentary. What’s so absurd is this:
I’m a 39-year-old man from Sweden, living in Brooklyn and working in philanthropy. For the past decade, my work has primarily focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights, so I followed the outbreak from the very beginning. I had even tried to get vaccinated when New York City launched an initial vaccination drive on 23 June. But like the vast majority of other New Yorkers who tried to get an appointment, I had no luck.
So he had knowledge of it spreading but feels like a victim because he couldn’t get a vaccine and did not want to curb his promiscuous behavior. He goes on to say:
This whole thing just feels like a huge failure that should not have been allowed to happen, especially not two and half months into the outbreak. If someone like me, who has worked in sexual health for a long time, had such a hard time navigating care, I can’t imagine other people doing it. I know several people who are just sitting at home in agonizing pain because they’re not getting the support that they need.
The failure isn’t the system that is not designed to deal with an uncommon African-based illness in New York on the spur of the moment. For God’s sake — you knew it was spreading and how it was spreading but couldn’t control your sexual urges and now blame everyone else.
These are the sorts of things I’d prefer not to write about but need to in order to make a particular point.
The world health community is declaring monkeypox an emergency. It has spread now globally to tens of thousands of people. It is contracted through contact, not just bodily fluid. As it spreads further, it mutates more.
The same public health community that shut down churches, beaches, businesses, and schools and demanded we stop seeing our grandparents are the same public health officials who cannot bring themselves to prohibit orgies. There’ll be no two weeks of no anal to stop the spread of monkeypox despite two years of shutdowns to stop COVID.
Remember, in February of 2021, Europeans were having police bust down doors to stop orgies because of COVID. But they will not do the same for monkeypox.
The very same public health officials and media talking heads who condemned small business owners for maskless protests are the same officials and talking heads who thought we all needed to be in the street marching maskless after George Floyd’s death. Reporters who said these small business owners should be denied COVID treatment never took that position about the riots.
The same people who called the riots “mostly peaceful” have largely ignored a would-be assassin showing up at Justice Kavanaugh’s house, and now they cannot be open and honest about stopping monkeypox because they’re afraid of stigmatizing the gay community.
A public health community and media hijacked by woke progressive ideology cannot speak truth into the world in order to help us. These situations will get worse. Others will abandon the media and public health community for conspiracists on social media who make more sense with more plausible paths forward.
Neither side wants to be guided by science but by sensationalism. We are witnessing a breakdown in society because the press and public health community have together picked a side and lost empathy for the other side. Instead of boldly speaking truth to all for everyone’s betterment, they’re picking winners, losers, and playing to one side for that side’s betterment. The woke capture of our institutions is causing a collapse of trust.
Just consider the actual truth — monkeypox is not truly an emergency, and a majority of the World Health Organization panel refused to vote for it as an emergency but got overruled. It has spread to less than 20,000 people, mostly through random gay group sex. That’s not an emergency on a global scale. But the head of the World Health Organization overruled the vote and insists it is, but will not be clear and bold about how to stop it. The man who wanted global lockdowns for COVID so far seemingly wants no change in behavior to stop what he believes is a global emergency.
It’s going to cause more problems. COVID and monkeypox and January 6th nonsense are the beginning of this, not the end. And yes, the January 6th nonsense — the Democrats who want us to watch their show trial are also funding election conspiracists in Republican primaries.
It is uncomfortable to write or think about, but it is true.
Mr. Kohn is worried “that we’re close to the point that this is going to be another endemic disease, especially among gay men, if we haven’t passed that point already. I’m worried we’ll be stuck with it forever.” Apparently, asking gay men to refrain from random, casual sex and orgies for two weeks to stop the spread is just too much to bear. But you people without your masks and ineffective vaccines might kill grandma.
The Uncomfortable Truth
Didn't Fauci work on the Aids epidemic in the 1980s? I'm sure he's just itching to stroll back into the media limelight with some cooked up vaccine for his next 15 minutes (actually close to 2 years) of so called "fame".
Excellent, if disturbing, information. Thanks. This really brings home how pathetic our culture has become.
If I may "pick a bone" on one thing; the use of the term "show trial." Applying this term to the January 6 Committee is inappropriate. The term is used primarily in reference to authoritarian regimes (although not exclusively) like Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union where trials of innocent, but politically inconvenient people are in fact a "show" to bring the population in line. Oh, and the defendant is typically executed.
The Republicans could have had a more adversarial procedure, but Kevin McCarthy convinced McConnell to smother the attempt at a bipartisan commission.
I know the information coming out of the select committee is an "uncomfortable truth" to a significant number of your subscribers, but it is really important. Unfortunately, the people who've been conned so expertly by Mr. Trump and desperately in need of some facts, are probably not watching it. Your decision to call it a "show trial" doesn't help get them educated.
