SB 233 is pending in the Georgia House of Representatives. It would officially make Georgia a school choice state, allowing parents to cover a portion of the costs of private or homeschooling for students. State funds would follow students.
Many supporters had hoped Governor Brian Kemp would publicly call for the passage of the legislation. About 30 minutes ago, he did just that with me on radio.
We need more of this. And more right to work. Lastly, the states need to cut the college degree requirement for many of its government jobs and allow qualifications to be replaced by work experience.
The states that pass these things will do better. Those that don't will do worse. This is the great thing about a republic... states are the test-bed for legislation that works to fix problems and make things better for the people of the state.
Great news
