Brunson v. Adams, Case No. 22-4007 (Sup. Ct., Oct. 22, 2022) has headed to the Supreme Court. I’ve gotten tons of emails about it from people. You need to know about the case.
Raland Brunson has sued over 200 members of congress, the President and Vice President, and former Vice President Mike Pence. According to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals,
He alleged that before accepting the electoral votes on January 6, 2021, defendants intentionally refused to investigate evidence that the November 2020 presidential election was fraudulent. Mr. Brunson likened defendants' conduct to an act of war against the United States Constitution that violated their oath to uphold the Constitution and his right to participate in an honest and fair election. He advanced constitutional, tort, and promissory estoppel claims and sought almost three billion dollars in damages. He also asked for injunctive relief including removal of defendants from office and reinstatement of Donald Trump as President of the United States.

Mr. Brunson’s case had been filed in a state court in Utah. The U.S. Attorney petitioned for it to be moved to federal court, which it was. In federal court, Brunson’s case was dismissed. It then went to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which agreed with the dismissal.
According to the online buzz and chatter among certain radio shows, TV shows, and websites, the United States Supreme Court has agreed to take Raland Brunson’s case.
Well, not exactly. Let me explain the state of play and why this case going as far as it has, suggests our system not only works but is the greatest system in the world.
This is the sort of thing that gives idiots a bad name.
Ted Cruz and others wanted a bipartisan committee to investigate the reports of ballot stuffing. The Democrats refused. Why do you think that people are wrong when they say that the election was stolen? If Trump had won and the democrats complained about ballot irregularities, I would be with them asking for an investigation. Ed Koch (Mayor of New York City) after losing, said that the people have voted, now the people will suffer. They did and still are.
When I pay for food at the supermarket, I assume that the scales used are calibrated correctly and the barcodes are read correctly. Why should elections be different?
