Democrats Keep Digging

First, and this is very important, as Joe Biden destabilizes the world, emboldens the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and claims we will protect Taiwan from China, he and a bipartisan group of senators intend to expand the draft to include our daughters.

Second, not content just to send our daughters to war against their will, Biden and the Democrats continue wrecking the economy with a massive spending package. As I mentioned yesterday, they want to pass a real tax on imaginary money to fund their crazy spending at a time their previous crazy spending caused a spike in inflation. You’ll recall that Larry Summers warned them. He was the Harvard President who had worked for both Obama and Clinton. He warned them they would cause inflation and they ignored him.

Now we have inflation.

Last year, under President Trump, Americans had the cheapest Thanksgiving meal they’ve bought since 2010. This year, according to the New York Times, “Thanksgiving 2021 could be the most expensive meal in the history of the holiday.” But at least you saved sixteen cents at the Fourth of July picnic!

It makes you want to say Let’s Go Brandon.

Now, the Times reports, inflation is expected to pick up the pace and prices are going to go up higher, faster. But the Democrats are convinced they need to pass their spending scheme to help Terry McAuliffe next week.

The best thing Congress could do right now is focus on inflation and the border. A new wave of migrants is headed this way. Governor Greg Abbott has the constitution on his side. The constitution allows states to call up their own national guard troops to defend the border in the event of an invasion. These migrants may not have weapons, but they are an invasion. I feel terribly for them. They are not the bad guys here. The politicians who deluded them into thinking they could come are the bad guys. But the migrants cannot come here. We cannot have a breakdown in the integrity of our border. Governors must take a stand.

We are just over a year from the midterm elections. Democrats are not doing what they’re doing because they know they’re about to lose. They are doing what they are doing to encourage progressives to vote next year. They need to give their base a reason to turn out.

That’s why we have Americans stuck in Afghanistan, but the State Department has an International Pronouns Day program. That’s why we have the highest gas prices ever, but we have a gender equity program. That’s why we have a sustained media campaign about January 6th.

Democrats know next year will be bad for them. They’ve given up persuading Americans to vote for them. Now, they’re just trying to throw as much as they can at progressives to incentivize their mobilization to mitigate the damage. Hilariously, that is going to make even more moderate and independent voters turn against them and, after redistricting, make the backlash even worse for them.
