I knew Trump's presidency would be bad for America, but I have been blown away by the sheer scale of obvious corruption. The shame and disgrace have tarnished the Republican party and America itself. I don't see how we can recover from this in my lifetime.
I was not part of the public that was asked if I thought the government was corrupt. If I had been I would have said yes and it still is.
No need to worry about me unsubscribing. This article tells me where the corruption is. We did not vote for the President to enrich himself by 2 billion dollars. I had hopes that his first term economics would return and turn things around after four years of Biden. I was wrong and am disappointed that things have turned out like this. The Dems are going to have a lot to talk about on the campaign trail.
To be clear, I really don't care how much the president makes as long as it's done within the confines of the rules - many of which are shady to us commoners.
He was a billionaire before we elected him all three times, and he will remain so.

Frankly, I thought I was on top of the, what I thought were a few, "indiscretions." Your article this morning, "Drain the Swamp," was, to say the least, eye-opening!! My God, it's like the Biden administration all over again - possibly even worse! Lutnick and Witkoff have no business being in this administration. It seems Trump has become part of the very swamp he promised us he would clean up. I'm very disappointed and disgusted - and I voted for him! I say do the investigations before the Democrats get to him or we may never again have a Republican president.

On the data centers, you mentioned that Georgia Power only used eminent domain 5 times in GA. You did not mention anything about 100-foot-tall towers in the front yards of people's homes. I would bet it doesn't matter to those people how it got there because it has destroyed the look of their property and has diminished the value of their property. The towers run throughout Fayetteville, and they have ruined the look of this beautiful city. If they have to build them, why do they have to be in the city limits?
If you don't think the Dems have this info and are just waiting for the right time to spring it, I have a bridge here in the Arizona desert you might want to purchase...No matter who/how he pardons, expect a torrent of "lawfare" against Trump and his family starting in 2029 that will make the previous Trump prosecutions/persecutions look like jay walking violations.

Unfortunately, DT continues to give his enemies the ammunition they need to vote out Republicans and undo all the good that he's accomplished. How many "undecideds" really believe that a president making $2B in a year is the man they want over a Democrat? Look, I'm all for capitalism, but if the leader of the free world is allowed to use his GLOBAL influence to enrich himself and his family, then how in the world can he possibly resonate with the vast majority of his voters who are true blue collar people? And then he has the temerity to investigate the worthless Dems who did the same thing, just on a lesser scale? Nobody likes a sore loser, or winner, Mr. President. "Drain the Swamp" was a wonderful campaign slogan, but it was just that. A slogan. So now we're stuck with a party that uses great slogans (which mean almost nothing) to fire up the common working man, while the other side uses slogans (Socialism for all!) to encourage the division and victimhood necessary to get the Mamdanis of the world elected. God help us, because we don't have any men who will. Maybe the system's just been too corrupted to fix? If that's the case, socialism is prowling about like a lion, looking for someone (or a nation) to devour.
AMEN! I told a friend the other day that voting doesn't seem to get us anywhere when both sides play games to enrich themselves over the values of our country! When are we going to get truly honest folks running for office that can lead us back to the principles our country was founded on? All this makes me sick and I'm tired of voting for the lesser evil!
