For Her, Everything
Tonight, the current Vice President will face the former President. It will be their first time face to face. There will be no crowd. There will be no hot microphones when the other is speaking. She wanted a live mic at all times to lecture and question Trump to throw him off his game.
The press and Democrats have worked mightily to make sure everyone knows Trump has done more debates and Harris is new at this. The pre-gaming and setting of expectations will not matter.
What matters is simple. Everyone knows Trump and has an opinion of him. Few know Harris and many are forming their opinion of her. Her staging, styling, handling, answering, and everything else will further form people’s opinions of her.
Her past debate performances left people with a negative impression of her.
Her reluctance to do tough interviews in the last few years and her refusal to do any press conferences in the past few weeks where she might be challenged have done her no favors.
The Democrats and much of the media will declare Harris the winner after the debate. They must. They are committed to stopping Trump. Just as they spent three years telling us not to believe our own eyes about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, they’ll tell us not to believe our own eyes if Harris has a bad debate.
They could not get away with that with Biden because of three years of lies and the availability of a back up. There is no back up for Kamala Harris. There is only Trump.
Harris must have a good debate tonight — good not in the eyes of the press, but in the eyes of the viewing public. If the past is the best indicator of the future, Harris will have struggled to put in the work.
We will see if she actually, for once, did the studying required.

I do not like what the democrats have done to this country. Obama’s fundamental change is turning us into a socialist third world country. Trump may not be perfect but he’s soooo much better than the alternative. Anyone would be better than the alternative. Too many people are getting sucked in by the shiny object that the left is dangling in front of them. That shiny thing will bite you. Wake up America, if Harris wins it will not be business as usual. Go to Springfield Ohio that’s your new America under a Harris administration.
I is amazing how well Harris did tonight. I'm completely and totally stunned that her performance this evening has gone as well as it went. Everyone is fully expecting her to flop tonight, to be an embarrassment when she debates Trump and that's simply not how it went. Only racists and white supremacists will declare Trump the winner considering how well she did tonight.
That paragraph should have hurt your head to read. I intentionally mixed future and past tenses. It is what the press would write this morning if they were allowed to by their benevolent overlords. Their fawning coverage of her future performance is as guaranteed as the scorpion stinging the frog.
