Friday Evening in Isolation

First things first, here is the tracker for COVID-19 in the United States.

Here is the tracker for Georgia for my readers there. It’ll be updated at 7pm and noon each day. One thing to note in Georgia is that the state expected a big jump in numbers for the virus, which is now close to 500 cases and that number will change at 7pm tonight. They are not concerned.

Illinois just joined California in going on lockdown. In New Jersey, non-essential businesses will be shut down. In California, marijuana shops have been declared essential by the Governor and can stay open.

Social distancing is still the best way to stop the spread of the virus. Stay 6 feet away from people outside your immediate family. Wash your hands regularly. The virus can be picked up off surfaces and out of the air. We now know it lasts in the wild on hard surfaces far longer than many other viruses.

Keep in mind the supply lines are open. Grocery stores are constantly getting restocked. Do not hoard, please. There is plenty of toilet paper, mean, vegetables, milk, and eggs to go around.

Lastly, before I get out of here, remember your churches and non-profits still need your tithes and donations even if you can be with then. Please also consider adopting a local restaurant or business.

Y’all have a great weekend. I’ll send updates if necessary this weekend, but it’s been a long week and I just want to sleep in tomorrow.

All the best,

PS — if you are homebound and want a 10 minute Bible Study, please go follow my friend Grant Castleberry. He is making his way through Galatians on Instagram with his church. You can find the series here.
