Morning Erick. About your next โnot for radio showโ, is it going to be basically the same show?? We were delighted to be at the first one and would love to see you again but if itโs the same one, we can give someone else the opportunity. Love your program! Thanks for everything you do!
This is wonderful, thank you Erick! It is obvious how much you love this. I do think the Dairy Board needs you as their spokesman, perhaps also Krispy Kreme. ๐
Ah, north of Atlanta. Now I can go. Thank you, Erick. I appreciate you are willing to listen to feedback and adjust. That's the mark of a great man. Keep at it. Also, thank you for the Thanksgiving guide and turkey reminder. Have a great holiday, sir. Be safe Radioman.
Iโm afraid I have to interject because of something happening at the cdc. Which has changed its wording on vaccines and autism.
I completely disagree with the implication that vaccines might cause autism. Decades of rigorous research involving millions of children across the world have shown no causal connection between childhood vaccines and autism. The original study that sparked this myth was proven fraudulent, retracted, and its author was stripped of his medical license. Major medical organizationsโincluding the American Academy of Pediatricsโstate unequivocally that vaccines do not cause autism. The CDCโs updated phrasing creates unnecessary confusion by implying uncertainty where none exists, and it risks undermining public confidence in life-saving vaccines.
And letโs be honest: this sudden shift in language feels like a political ripple effect from RFK Jr., who has built an entire identity around anti-vaccine misinformation. He has pushed the false vaccineโautism narrative for years, and now weโre seeing agencies tiptoe around language that was already backed by decades of science. If this change was made to appease RFK Jr. or to soften the ground for his talking points, thatโs unacceptable. And Iโll say this plainly: if I find out Donald Trump had any involvement in approving or supporting this kind of messaging, he would lose my support on the spot. Iโm not joking. Public health isnโt a political toy, and I wonโt back any candidateโRepublican or otherwiseโwho entertains anti-vax rhetoric or panders to conspiracy theorists at the expense of scientific truth.
Every republican needs to come forward and say NO. NO NO and double no.
The problem, at least with me, is that I donโt trust the government to tell me and my family what vaccines I need to put in my body. I completely lost that confidence during Covid. I donโt think Iโll EVER take another vaccine the rest of my life and I encourage my children to avoid unnecessary vaccines for them and my grandchildren. Big Pharma has their hands in everything pushing this stuff, including with the AAP. My storyโฆI dutifully took their COVID vaccine and booster. My serious autoimmune disease is now raging and has been for some time. Taking Rituxan infusions so hopefully we will get back to normal. Iโm certainly willing for there to be studies to find out for certain whether this cocktail of vaccines they give these kids are causing autismโฆbecause good lord, something is.
I am surprised at your strong position on this Chaz, as this has barely been a blip on the radar in conservative media (perhaps you or someone in your family works at the CDC?).
I think the simple explanation is that of course this came at the direction of RFK Jr. and was one of many foreseeable consequences of appointing the guy to run HHS. Trump's role in this is probably a mix of apathy or genuine belief in the conspiracy (he has shown himself to be quite the vocal proponent of many a conspiracy). I'd still go with apathy because Trump seems to prioritize loyalty over competence or even sanity. What kind of comically bazaar shenanigans would be going on right now above and beyond the current circus at DoJ had Trump's first choice, Gaetz, gotten through?
Again just surprised you aren't minimizing this or whatabouting it with some Kammala insanity to defend it.
Happy turkey day all! Iโll be on a cruise with my grandkids, their first one! Donโt think Iโll have internet service. Iโll save recipes though, thanks Erick. Iโd love to attend one of your live shows, how about coming to Florida?๐ฆ
Thanks much for sharing! Iโve used the same recipes for a 100 years (well, since Iโm only 65 thatโs a slight exaggeration:), but Iโm seriously considering trying your gravy recipe if my chef son isnโt here making his own concoction. Iโll have to peruse the remainder and come up with a plan.
I'm not known for my culinary expertise and have to have GF but unless you have gallbladder issues (butter) this is an amazing gravy! I'm still trying to GF some of his others (why can't Krispy creme make GF donuts lol)
Re: "Please donโt put a frozen turkey in a deep fryer unless you really want to burn down your house"
Erick is not kidding, and it's not hyperbole!
Thank you for the recipes!
I've used Erick's recipe for onion gravy. It's very good.... almost as good as mine! ๐๐๐

A lot of it will be the same, but I was asked to add in more political stories instead of personal stories.
Eric, for Your Turkey day, our favorite inflation fighter, Inglesโ,is selling turkeys for 37 cents a pound in Blairsville!
That's a great deal.

Or Ozempic. LOL.

I have real and serious concerns with what is happening and the reporting on it makes clear RFK is behind it.

There's a comically bizarre circus going on right now at the DoJ...
Good point Paul, but I still think Gaetz would have made it even worse...
