Tomorrow, Holy Week comes to its conclusion and on Monday I go back to politics. Thank you all for your prayers, support, and kind words this week. Y’all have no idea the struggle this past week has been. Your kindness is so appreciated.
I take the position that Christ, being fully God and Man descended into the Sheol, the place the dead went before the resurrection. We call it Sheol or Hades. In the past, it was called Hell, but now we specifically think of Hell as the place of torment. Jesus didn’t go there. But I think being fully a man, Jesus descended to the land of the dead where those who died before before His resurrection also went.
Where ever it was, it was paradise because Jesus was there.
Some Christians disagree. It is a matter of interpretation. Regardless, we get to be with Jesus now when we die.
