Right now, as you are reading this, someone has been up all night worried about how they will put gas in their car to get to work. Someone else is worried about feeding their kids. A senior citizen is struggling to pay their power bill and put food on their table.
It might be one of you reading.
I reached out to the Salvation Army a few weeks ago to see if there was a way you and I could help. We’re going to try to raise $25,000.00. Every penny is going to go to individuals and families with gift cards from the Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army is one of the most efficient charities in the United States. Virtually every penny goes to those in need, not to their overhead. That is why I constantly recommend them.
Please consider setting aside your politics, your partisanship, and your grievances today and step up to help someone struggling with their basic needs. This is not about Washington or Joe Biden or Campaign 2022.
Today, right now, there’s an empty stomach that will stay empty without our help. There’s a mom or dad who can’t get to work because they lack the money just for gas today.
Please help if you are able. 100% of your donation will go to those in need.
The Salvation Army has a presence to help those in need in every zip code in the country. Most people who seek help from The Salvation Army have jobs and families but struggle to overcome the daily challenges of living in poverty.
“We are seeing incredible need increase daily due to the effects of the rising costs of certain foods, infant supplies, household items, and fuel,” said Major Bob Parker, The Salvation Army’s Area Commander for Atlanta Metro, “The Salvation Army anticipates that as costs continue to rise that more and more people will rely on The Salvation Army’s programs and services to get through the coming months. That’s why Erick’s “Funds for Fuel” campaign comes just at the right time to help many who face great need.”
The impact of rising costs often most affects those in our society who can least afford it. The help offered by the “Funds for Fuel” campaign may just be the essential assistance for individuals and families that might otherwise be forced to decide between paying for gas for their car or paying for food, utilities, or rent.
For those in need, The Salvation Army works to remove their constant burden of worrying. Each year, they serve more than 25 million Americans, young or old, and at any stage in life.
