Thank you Erick for letting us know. I have never understood the allure of gambling. It should give anyone who is enticed, a pause in their spirit, when people are working so hard to separate you from your money...they need you to make money for them. You don't need them. Flee in the other direction...run towards something with true value. Not meaningless betting. Life is too short.

The knowledge that the next roll of the dice can be your blessing is hard to pass up. Especially when all the door of opportunity offered to you lead to the same wall.

In the 1970’s NY state had the weekly Lotto. There were so many people playing that they changed it so you could play the same numbers for a few weeks. I played $5-10 dollars a week and I got a few cards.

When I got home from the Temple of Doom one Friday, there was a letter from the lottery commission in the mailbox. My ship was in.

I ripped it open and inside was a check. $23.50. I haven’t played any lottery since.
