Anyone who listened to Joe Biden in the 2020 debates fully understands that high gas prices are a feature - not a bug - of the Biden energy plan. When asked if Biden would sacrifice affordable oil in exchange for a quicker transition to renewable energy he simply said “yes.” Now that high gas prices have become a political liability for his party, voters have a difficult time believing his administration when they say they will use “every arrow in their quiver to bring down gas prices.” The reality is there are a multitude of things the President could do to ease the pain at the pump. He could stop pressuring Wall Street to divest its oil holdings. He could renew the ANWR lease. He could expand and expedite the approval of new leases. The cold reality is that $5 per gallon (or worse) is the new normal under the Biden administration. Take a moment and listen:
