I Told You So

Many of y’all were critical of me yesterday for backing Ronna McDaniel for RNC Chair, particularly given my previous criticisms of her. I said and maintain this is about judgment. While I would prefer more options, there are precisely three people running for RNC Chair: Ronna McDaniel, Harmeet Dhillion, and Mike Lindell. There are no other contenders.

I said, to the disagreement of many, that McDaniel had better judgment, better fundraising skills, had the ability to unite a more diverse group of Republicans, and would keep a lot of the grifters from the RNC none of us should want there.

I believe I am now vindicated in my position.

Yesterday, just down the street from the RNC meeting, Caroline Wren, on behalf of Harmeet Dhillion, and Mike Lindell together, announced a team-up.

In a surprise move, Harmeet Dhillon’s representative shows up at the RNC’s Winter Meeting today and announces that she will team up with Mike Lindell as a unified ticket against Ronna McDaniel.

If you think Mike Lindell deserves a seat at the RNC table, you are not a serious person.

That the Dhillion team thinks declaring a joint RNC leadership with Lindell is a good or serious thing to consider is discrediting and a shit show inside a clown show inside a circus act inside an indigestion-induced nightmare.

Every single one of you who thinks I got this wrong needs to pay attention to this.

McDaniel is by no means perfect, but she is unwilling to give Lindell a seat at the table. She, at least, intends a serious operation.

Lest you forget, Lindell most recently claimed that Ron DeSantis and the Democrats had stolen Miami-Dade County for Ron DeSantis.

Previously, Lindell pushed the most bizarre claims about the 2020 election that not even people who thought the election was stolen were willing to believe. Putting Lindell at the head table of the RNC is to look at the results of the 2022 midterms and 🖕 the American voters who desperately crave an alternative to the Democrats, but do not want GOP Crazy Town.

Dhillion has surrounded herself with people like Kelli Ward, Scott Pressler, and Caroline Wren. To now declare a team up with Lindell is just discrediting to the whole endeavor. She is a great conservative warrior, but this is not the way.

Ronna McDaniel is not the perfect chair of the RNC. However, she’s also not willing to stockpile grifters and clowns inside the operation. Whether we like it or not, the RNC is a necessary entity under federal campaign finance law and politics in the country. We cannot surrender its leadership to Mike Lindell and the Island of Misfit Toy grifters that, bafflingly, Dhillion is surrounding herself with.

I’m perfectly happy to battle the establishment. Just look at the fight against McCarthy at the beginning of this month.

But battling the establishment has to be serious, not with a clown car full of clowns in oversized shoes with oversized egos and the operational wherewithall of the crack police of Reno 911 or Harry and Marv.

RNC committeemen and women, save us from the Wet Bandits, please.
