I’m going to step away from the microphone for a few days, do some cooking (I made gumbo last night), and enjoy time with the family.
Usually, I unplug after an election for a few days. But this was a weird cycle that just never seemed to end. So it is rest time now.
I want to tell you all how thankful I am for each of you subscribing. I try to give you guys content worth your subscription. In return, you’ve given me prayers, friendship, and the ability to do a talk radio show without being able to get canceled.
Frankly, while I try to tell you all what value you get from the subscription, it really is that you guys have, through your subscriptions, provided me a way to grow a radio show, pay staff and syndication costs, and not be worried when the angry mob comes for my advertisers. That’s happened several times now. Harry’s Razors and Quip, though I remain a customer, bolted after the mob complained.
You guys have not. I thank you all tremendously.
If you have not yet considered a subscription, I hope you might, as I do try to provide you with show prep for your mind, and your subscription keeps cancel culture from canceling me. Between the hardcore Trump fans who take any criticism of Trump as an attack worthy of punishment to the transgender crowd who regularly tries to get my advertisers to drop me, this business can get exhausting sometimes.
I try always to call it as I see it as honestly as I can, even when others disagree, and try to fearlessly call my own side to account for the sake of intellectual honesty. I don’t always get it right. I sometimes have to correct myself. But I leave the paper trail and occasional necessary apologies.
I could not do it without you all. So thank you very much.
At this time of year, I’d also like to note I could not do this without Charlie, Philip, Jim, and Candice, and now have to add David, who keeps my books, and John, who Rush Limbaugh sent my way to help me navigate radio.
God has truly blessed me with wonderful people who surround me. That includes all of you.
Happy Thanksgiving and God bless.
