On social media, more than 10,000 people have shared the results of a forensic audit in Ware County, Georgia. I keep getting asked about it.
Voting machines were seized and a court-ordered audit happened. It turns out the machines really were throwing votes for Trump to Biden. In the test of the machines, 73 votes shifted from Trump to Biden, which was enough to make Biden the winner.
The only problem is that none of this is true.
There was no seizure of machines. There was no forensic audit. The only kernel of truth is that 73 votes did get shifted from Trump to Biden, but that wasn’t because of a machine. It was because of a human who wrote down numbers during the hand recount and put them in the wrong field.
The source for the recount and machines revealing the algorithm error is the local head of the Board of Elections. The source for rebutting all of this is the very same person.
Huh?
A local activist called the head of the Board of Elections in Ware County, Georgia and asked if it was true that the audit shifted votes from Trump to Biden. Yes, it was true. The activist interpreted it as the machines stole the election and didn’t ask a follow up question to determine what happened. The activist fired off a press release and the misinformation took over.
The forensic audit, the revelation of the voting machines, etc. did not happen. It just doesn’t matter to people.
The vote theft caught on security camera in Fulton County did not happen either.
An affidavit from an “expert” claimed in Georgia 1000 people somehow mailed their absentee ballot applications, received their ballots, and sent them back all on the same day. That would be physically impossible. These happened to all be people who showed up at local boards of election to get absentee ballots and cast them then and there. That same expert offered up a host of other numbers for issues like people who live out of state and voted in state, etc. and none of those numbers have held up either.
The sharpie markers messing up the voting machines in Arizona did not happen — disproven by repeated tests and the statements of the Arizona Governor, Secretary of State, and others.
In Delaware County, Pennsylvania, the Trump team pursued claims that Dominion Voting Machines were throwing votes to Joe Biden. The only problem is Delaware County, PA does not use those voting machines.
What I continue to find consistently frustrating is that people believe the allegations and those allegations never make it into court. Repeatedly, in Pennsylvania, the Trump team has expressedly denied they were pursuing charges of fraud when at their press conferences they claimed fraud.
At some point, I do hope the people who believe all this stuff will ask why none of these stories are holding up under minimal scrutiny. It seems some have a vested interest now in undermining the integrity of the process based solely on their side losing.
To be sure, voter fraud is going to be found. It does appear at least 4 people in Georgia voted in multiple states. But every election has these situations and they’re not enough to undermine the margin of victory of the winning candidate. Truth has to be ascertainable and when people are not willing to even pick up the phone and ask primary sources, but instead rely on experts peddling statistics, lies and damned lies, instead of doing that, we have problems.
I agree with everything you said, but that last sentence is very confusing. You seem to be saying that relying on experts in statistics is what people are doing instead of listening to lies. Is this what you meant??
It is important that you keep speaking the truth, Erick. And I really admire you for it as I suspect that it does nothing for your pocketbook. Though you will probably continue to be a voice in the wilderness, you're doing important work. What you're doing matters. Both sides of the spectrum should learn from you.
