Nancy Pelosi’s Antics Don’t Actually Play As Well As Her Fanboy Press Corp Thinks

The DC press loves Pelosi. Remember how they told us she was a strategic genius for impeachment? Remember how they told us it was epic of her to hold on to the impeachment? Remember how they told us she was a strategic thinker by forcing the Senate GOP to call witnesses or lose votes?

These are all things floated not by pundits, but by reporters. They have bought the hype. What has it gotten Pelosi? For the first time in a long time, the public views the GOP more favorably according to Gallup and the President’s job approval rating is at an all time high.

That’s what it has gotten the Democrats and that is what it has gotten Trump.

The DC press corps just thinks the world of Pelosi. They are in the same secular, progressive bubble with Catholic platitudes and San Francisco values. They generate a feedback loop of smug righteousness and self-congratulatory appeal.

And all that works as a secret weapon for President Trump. He delivered a made for television State of the Union address and the public got to see Pelosi rip up the speech behind his back.

President Trump’s unique super power is making others behave exactly as they claim he behaves. That only helps him.
