The outrage at MSNBC over the hiring of Ronna McDaniel has exploded into a full-fledged revolt. What started with sharp comments from Chuck Todd over McDaniel’s role on January 6th has been amplified and echoed by nearly every major personality on the network. The blowback is so severe that NBC management met this morning and determined to part ways with Ronna McDaniel only a few days after hiring her.
If MSNBC wants to tie Ronna McDaniel to an insurrection, they should tie themselves to two mass assassination attempts over the past few years. Floyd Lee Corkins, who attempted to shoot up the Family Research Center and stuff Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the mouths of the corpses, watched the network and its continually leftwing diatribes. Thankfully, he was stopped. James Hodgkinson heard MSNBC’s repeated hysterical claims that congressional Republicans were an existential threat and shot up a baseball field nearly killing Steve Scalise.
The same network seeded the "Russia stole the election" narrative in 2016 and convinced its viewers 2016 was stolen. Some of its viewers were among those who rioted during Trump’s inaugural. They attacked police and vandalized businesses. They caused as much or more damage to DC as the January 6th riot.
The same network regularly allows guests on who claims the Hunter Biden laptop scandal was manufactured by conservatives to hurt President Biden politically.
The same network employs Joy Reed who went a homophobic tirade posting multiple anti-LGBTQ blogs on her website before claiming she was the victim of a hack. The same network employs Al Sharpton.
Did I mention its viewers who went on to attempt mass assassinations of political opponents?
As much as I like Chuck Todd and some of the others on at NBC, the network’s revolt is perplexing at best. Chuck Todd himself gladly had Ronna McDaniel on Meet The Press in 2017 to hear the RNC’s view on a myriad of issues. Now that McDaniel would be a paid contributor to help bring insight into the views of the 78 million people who voted for Trump, this is a moral bridge too far. Watch:
Save democracy, silence the opposing thought
Erick, I need to disagree with you that the protesters in January, 2017 in DC CAUSED AS MUCH or more damage to DC as the January 6th riot. Caused as much? January 6th No fires, no burning of American Flag, no real destruction of statues, businesses, cars, etc. Broken windows and doors and most WERE LET INTO THE CAPITOL BY CAPITOL POLICE. Where's the videos? How many people from January 6th ARE ROTTING IN PRISON? HOW MANY JOURNALISTS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND THEIR CAMERAS CONFISCATED? Regarding the 2017 Rioters: The report found that there were incidents where the police used pepper spray without warning and even threatened journalists. The conduct of Metropolitan Police Department officers was INVESTIGATED by the city's Police Complaints Board. The ACLU said that even though just a FEW protesters caused damage and engaged in violence, police rounded up more than 200 protestors. Government DROPPED charges against ALL 2017 Inauguration protesters. The Jan. 6th Capitol Police were treated as heroes and the left and Democrat politicians lied about people being killed and got away with those lies AND Jan 6th protesters are still being rounded up and sent to jail. It could be years before all are arrested and imprisoned. Our system of justice? People check out the riots from January, 2017.
