Next week, a lot of Americans are going to struggle to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for their families. Every year, I partner with Hungry For A Day to help families put together a Thanksgiving feast.
A $40 donation will help Hungry For A Day provide a turkey, sides, and dessert for a family of four. They partner with food banks and soup kitchens across America to help families in need.
In areas where people do not have access to kitchens to cook, they’ll provide prepared meals. In some places, they will do a smoked ham. In Hispanic communities, they provide tortillas and beef for fajitas or pork. They meet people where they are and help them have a great Thanksgiving.
If you can help, we’re so close to raising $100,000.00. If you can help, please help.
Also, if you are struggling, please reach out to your local food bank. They want to help you.
The Gravy
People who have signed up for my recipe list will receive this at 3 p.m. ET today. But for all of you, last year, I prepared a small cookbook of all the recipes I cook around this time of year.
My gravy recipe has become a household regular for many of you, I know. My breakfast casseroles, too, have become a regular staple in many of your houses.
Many of you have commented on my wife’s apple, cranberry salad. I don’t like cranberries, so I don’t eat it, but I get flooded with rave reviews for it.
For those of you new or who have never gotten them, here is my small list of recipes for the holiday season. Special thanks to my assistant, Candice, for helping me get all this compiled.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
Thank you for the wonderful recipes.
Please don’t forget to pray and or help the people of Western North Carolina some are still sleeping in tents.🙏
This is AMAZING. Thank you! Erick, maybe a bound cookbook that could be purchased with all proceeds going to ‘Hungry for a Day’. Price it so that multiple copies can be purchased - it would be a great gift item.
