President Biden Literally Calls Half of America "Garbage"

Here is the video. You can see it for yourself. Joe Biden called Donald Trump’s supporters, who amount to about half the country, “garbage.” “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said.

Now, here is Jonathan Lemire of MSNBC and Politico trying to spin for Joe Biden, claiming that’s not what Biden said.

Biden did not say what Lemire claims he says. Lemire is lying to mitigate the damage of what Biden said.

After the fact, the White House went into damage control and released a transcript where they added an apostrophe to “supporters,” turning it into “supporter’s,” but it makes no sense in context. Because here is the full context:

So it was a single supporter’s garbage or “his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable?”

I realize we are at the point where progressives think a single person can be a “they,” but now a single supporter has garbage? No, the only way this makes any sense at all is without the apostrophe that someone added after the fact for damage control, i.e., (1) “the only garbage I see is his supporters” and (2) “his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American.”

It boggles the mind to think Biden believes otherwise, considering his whole party already believes anyone who attends a Trump rally is a Nazi. Again, you can hear Joe Biden in your own words talk about Trump’s supporters as garbage and then pivoting to talk about Trump himself.

By the way, some of Harris’s biggest supporters who are not the American press corps are defending Biden for calling Trump supporters “garbage,” actually saying that “garbage is an understatement.”

Likewise, the Associated Press does not accept the spin, writing up Biden’s words this way:

The president then added: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”

On March 16, 2024, Donald Trump gave a talk in Michigan about the American auto industry and how it was headed to a “bloodbath” if Joe Biden got re-elected due to EV mandates, etc. Trump clearly meant the auto industry economy would be wiped out.

CNN accurately reflected that Trump’s comments were about the economy.

However, the same Jonathan Lemire of Politico and MSNBC on MSNBC willfully mischaracterize Trump’s comments.

Here is Joe Scarborough and Jonathan Martin yesterday on Morning Joe lamenting Donald Trump “basically calling Puerto Ricans trash” because a comedian made a bad joke about Puerto Rico being a garbage island.

And here again, is Joe Biden actually, literally calling Trump supporters, who make up half the voting population of America, “garbage.”

In the annual public surveys about trust and reputation, journalists and the media have regularly fallen near the very bottom, often just above Congress. But in this year’s Gallup poll, we have managed to fall below Congress. Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working.…

Most people believe the media is biased. Anyone who doesn’t see this is paying scant attention to reality, and those who fight reality lose. Reality is an undefeated champion. It would be easy to blame others for our long and continuing fall in credibility (and, therefore, decline in impact), but a victim mentality will not help. Complaining is not a strategy. We must work harder to control what we can control to increase our credibility.

The President of the United States has called half of Americans “garbage,” and the mainstream media is working overtime to pretend he said something else.

Is it any wonder trust in the media now falls below Congress in trust?

Also, I do wonder if Joe Biden really wants Kamala Harris to win. The President who the Democrats say is a great statesman and unifier and healer believes half the country is garbage — something beyond Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables.”

The Democrats really do hate you.

In maybe unrelated news, reporters are still really pissed The Washington Post won’t endorse Kamala Harris. Still, The Atlantic endorsed her after running the story claiming Trump savaged a dead solider, despite even that soldier’s sister disputing the story.
