Saying that the far right and left have been radicalized by their opponents, then in next sentence referring to Jennifer Rubin as a "dimwit" makes the point in an unintended way I suspect.

Yep, we have become more tribal. Before today's political landscape we were tribal over sports teams, college ball, professional, it didn't matter. I'm sure many knew a fanatical supporter of some team. Someone who put their team on a pedestal because the team could do no wrong. Any loss was because of bad calls from the ref's. That fanaticism is on steroids and has moved to politics. There are people I know that pull for the right that I avoid talking to about politics at all cost. However in my neighborhood in Atlanta because I am viewed as conservative I am treated like an outcast, which I am fine with. The last thing I want is a neighbor asking to borrow my chainsaw.
