Democratic Polling Collapse
A new poll from The Wall Street Journal has more bad news for Joe Biden and the Democrats. Here are the key takeaways:
57% of voters remained unhappy with Biden’s job performance.
63% disapproved of Mr. Biden’s handling of rising costs.
30% said Democrats were better able to handle inflation.
Republicans gained ground with Black and Hispanic voters.
Democrats lost ground to Republicans on who voters prefer to handle COVID, education, and protecting the middle class.
Russia Moves West
Russia expanded its invasion of Ukraine by relocating troops north of Kyiv for what appears to be a second attack on the capital. A Russian airstrike took place overnight that targeted cities in the western part of the county. This attack was far from the frontlines and targeted airports and civilian areas. Here’s more:

Russian Biolab Lies
Russia falsely claims that the United States is financing biological weapons labs in Ukraine with no discernable intelligence to verify it. Now, China is helping Russia spread the disinformation by repeating the claims on state media and calling for a formal investigation. More from The Washington Post:
“This is exactly the kind of false flag effort we have warned Russia might initiate to justify a biological or chemical weapons attack,” Olivia Dalton, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, said late Thursday, according to the Associated Press. “We’re not going to let Russia gaslight the world or use the U.N. Security Council as a venue for promoting their disinformation.”
Dems Ditch Iowa?
Since 1972, the road to the White House begins in Iowa for Democrats and Republicans. That may be changing for the Democrats. Here’s more:
A draft resolution, obtained and corroborated by the Des Moines Register, would set new criteria for early-voting states that favor primaries over caucuses and diversity over tradition.
If the proposal advances, it would upend the party's presidential nominating calendar by requiring states to apply to hold their nominating contests before the rest of the country and expanding the number of early voting states to as many as five. Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, which currently lead off the process, would not necessarily be given preferential consideration over other states that apply.
