HEADLINE STORY: Stacey Abrams is losing black voters. Now, to be fair, she is getting a majority of their vote, but it isn’t enough. She’s alienated black men and just enough black women to run behind where Democrats normally do. Not only that, but Kemp himself has proven himself to that community and they, along with Hispanic voters, are shifting to Kemp. (AJC)
ALSO BIG: Expect market turmoil today. The Federal Reserve expects to keep raising rates and Jerome Powell, in Fed-speak, said they intend to push us into a recession to stop inflation. (CNBC) Notably, Powell says wage gains are being eaten up by inflation, which necessitates eradicating inflation even if we go into a recession. More in the links below, including Powell warning of a correction coming to the housing market.
