COVID Panic Returns
Full-blown COVID panic is back as case numbers spike in 12 countries worldwide. The news first broke early this week when China locked down the city of Shenzhen, forcing 18 million indoors. The lockdown has expanded to 5 cities and 37 million people with more threatened. Each family must remain indoors and can only send one person to the grocery store every 2-3 days. Yikes.
Experts are watching a subvariant of omicron known as BA.2. This mutation is 30% more transmissible than the original omicron variant. Here’s more:
