BREAKING: Inflation hits the highest level seen in 40 years.
Clip of the day: The cringe is strong.
Russia’s New Low
Who are the bad guys? The ones who bomb maternity hospitals of course. Three casualties and 17 injuries were reported after Russia bombed a Ukrainian maternity hospital in the heart of Mariupol. This is the 24th attack on healthcare facilities in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began 15 days ago. Here’s more:

“Substantial” Inflation Ahead
U.S. inflation blew past expectations topping 7.9% year over year, a level not seen since 1982. However, that is not the biggest inflation news of the day. The White House Council of Economic Advisors is reporting there is substantial inflation ahead thanks to surging energy and commodity prices. Santelli nailed it on CNBC this morning:
Spending Bill
After 10 PM last night, the House passed a 1.5 trillion omnibus spending bill that included aid for Ukraine but stripped out COVID relief. True to form, the 2700 page bill was released for members to review only hours before the vote. The vote revealed another rift within the Democrat party as Pelosi left Pelosi livid with several fellow Democrats who refused to vote for COVID relief.
Punchbowl asks an important question: How did Democratic leadership get blindsided by this uprising in their ranks? And what does it mean?
COVID Vs The Flu
We now know that the flu is more deadly than COVID. This is from the Financial Times:
A combination of high levels of immunity and the reduced severity of the Omicron variant has rendered Covid-19 less lethal than influenza for the vast majority of people in England, according to a Financial Times analysis of official data.
…
The high degree of immune protection from vaccination and previous infection among England’s population formed the basis of the government’s decisions to end legally enforced self-isolation last month and scale back free testing from April 1 as part of its “living with Covid” plan.

Several items to consider: 1. Can we get back on track and speak about the invasion on our border and the drugs coming across and the cartels being in control of the border. 2. Can we point out the lies the left spews and correct them every time they speak. 3. Can we ask Ms. Griffin to stick with reporting and being a journalist instead of stating her opinion. Point: she said Trump alienated our allies with talk of pulling out of NATO - when in fact, he was telling Germany and our partners in NATO to pay their share (and they did up it a bit); to build their military and be PREPARED for the future and lastly, not to be dependent on Russian oil. I guess Trump had a crystal ball and Ms. Griffin totally dislikes former President Trump, so is clouded by her opinion of him. 4. Can we discuss getting our schools to teach ONLY the basics and forget about having kids share their feelings and having discussions about sex (they can speak about that at home with their parents.) 5. When the Left and VP Harris talk about Bloody Sunday and Jim Crow; would just one of our politicians tell the truth about who was the Mayor of Selma and the Governor of Alabama when this atrocity took place (Joe Smitherman and George Wallace - anyone remember him) and that the Democrats ran the Governorships in the South after the Civil War up to the 1960's. 6. Kamala Harris is out of her league, as is the whole of the Biden/Obama administration - and they are slowly destroying our country and no one is talking about taking it back. Here we go again with the giggles, nervous laughter, pointless, useless and downright scary and how about her time as DA in San Francisco when she did not prosecute the clergy of the Catholic Church accused of sexual abuse; How much did they donate to her campaign?
Jennifer Griffin will prove to be nothing more then a tool of the administrative state. Sadly…Fox’s best days are behind them. Once Tucker bolts - at some point he will - they’re done.
