The Closing of the Progressive Mind
Until recently, progressives have dominated American culture. They controlled the arts, media, and bureaucratic institutions. This forced conservatives like me and you to understand and learn their arguments while they refused to take the time to learn ours. As the fragmentation of media increased and institutional trust dwindled, progressives have increasingly become unable to argue with conservatives in the public square because they fundamentally don’t understand our position.
