The Consequence of Death
As you are aware by now, Joe Biden has commuted the death sentences of most, but not all, the murders on the federal death row. He commuted the death sentence of Jorge Avila-Torrez, who, as Ben Domenech noted, “murdered two girls, 8 and 9 years old, out riding their bikes on Mother's Day. He stabbed the eyes out of Laura Hobbs. The next day her dad found the bodies in the woods. He spent 5 years in jail while Torrez continued to rape and kill.”
But Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who bombed the Boston Marathon, and Dylan Roof, who shot up the AME church in Charleston, were a bridge too far for Biden.
The death penalty is either fully bad or it is not.
What happened was not that Biden granted commuted their sentences but that the progressives who run the White House wiped the drool from Biden’s lips as they held a pen in Biden’s hand and dragged it across a piece of paper.
When God reset the world and the waters receded from the earth, Noah and his family left the Ark. There, on the mountain, God said, “And for your lifeblood, I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man. ‘Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.’” Genesis 9:5-6 (ESV).
God, in the beginning, with the world made new, told Noah and his family that any man or animal who takes the life of any other human, created in the image and likeness of God, without cause, must be executed. One who devalues the life of a human being must be removed from the gene pool.
It is no surprise that in Western societies that have increasingly devalued life, there is a move to end the death penalty for murderers while concurrently expanding it to babies, the infirm, and the elderly.
Our society has devalued life and is led by those who do not respect life.
But justice will still come in the end for those Biden spared and for Biden and his staff themselves. God will not be mocked. Be angry, but do not sin. God’s got this, too.
Biden is so beyond pathetic it's difficult to find the right words to describe him. Personally, I'm waiting for the "tell all" book to come out to reveal who has been in charge of the country for the last four years. His actions seem more designed to hurt the United States rather than to help it.
If there is a Presidential Library in his future, it will be filled with comic books.
"Wiped the drool from his face", so true. Is there any chance that this can be challenged legally on the grounds that it is in fact not Biden doing this, but others doing it by taking advantage of his senility? Just a thought.
