The Garbage Comment
After MSNBC and CNN ran wall-to-wall coverage of Tony Hinchcliffe’s joke about Puerto Rico being an island of garbage, Joe Biden was let out of the White House basement and to the horror of the Harris team, called Trump supporters garbage.
In a panic, the White House comms shop released a transcript (go read The Show Notes) that attempted to retroactively alter the meaning of the statement by adding an apostrophe. But the damage was already done.
As Harry Enten points out on CNN, just 28% of voters right now believe the country is heading in the right direction. The average percentage for an incumbent party who wins is 42%. Instead of selling voters on the policies that a Harris-Walz administration would implement to change the direction of the country, Biden is calling Trump supporters garbage while some of the loudest Harris supporters passionately agree. I’m going to ask this question again. When the Trump team is desperate to draw women voters to their side, why did they have an inappropriate comedian speaking to that massive crowd instead of Nicki Hailey? My liberal sister saw her speak on a college campus a few years ago and was very impressed. Seems like Nicki would be helpful to draw in those who are wavering on pulling the lever for Trump
The comedian makes a joke that the territory is full of garbage (it is) and the Democrats jump on it to claim it is a racist MAGA claim against Puerto Ricans.
The Democrat president, the leader of their party, says that all Americans that support Trump and oppose Democrats are garbage (of course they are not), and the Democrats claim it is just a joke taken out of context.
The term hypocrite used to have some impact in political discourse, but the Democrats have turned it into their perpetual being... to the point that it is useless to point out their hypocritical behavior. They know it but they do not care... they keep spinning and spinning and spinning... playing it all nonstop on their Democrat controlled media influence industrial complex.
The ONLY thing that will help put an end to it... a massive red wave this next election.
