Growing up in the ‘80s in Europe, I saw how important American leadership was to winning the Cold War. Foreign policy and economics were the two things that pulled me into the Republican orbit because Republicans understood that its largesse and opportunity bought influence and kept nations in our camp.

Trump is creating an island America with no allies or trade partners who have any reason to be in our camp, and I actually feel embarrassed by his and Vance’s insult comic routine when it is projected outward onto the international stage. He’s doing real damage to our country’s long-term position in the world.

Not that Harris would have been better, but it seems we’re screwed either way.

It just seems more logical that passing tax cuts, budget cuts and getting deregulation going would spur the economy but alas, we don’t really have any true free marketers at the helm.
