The Press Gaslights for Biden

Comcast and NBC are blindly parroting White House talking points claiming that Republicans are deceptively editing videos of Joe Biden to make him look unfit for office. Nicole Wallace on MSNBC called the rightwing trend “growing and insidious” but failed to explain exactly how the clips were deceptive.

The clip in question is inarguably the Biden fundraiser in California last week with Barack Obama and Jimmy Kimmell. As copious amounts of unedited video shows, Barack Obama was forced to escort Biden off the stage when he appeared to freeze and looked unsure of his surroundings. Obama gently grabbed Biden’s hand, pulled him in his direction, and held his hand on his back until they were off stage. For anyone who has had a relative with dementia, they know exactly what Obama was doing. For anyone who has taken a frail grandparent to dinner, you know exactly what Obama was doing. These are not partisan attacks, they are objective observations of a reality millions of Americans have personally experienced in some way.

But the press in this country demands that you not believe your lying eyes. They can gaslight you all they would like, but the one person on that stage who knows the truth is Barack Obama and he also knows the Democrats are running out of time to do anything about it.
