Indictment Watch
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is allegedly making the case to a Georgia-based grand jury this morning to criminally indict President Trump over interfering in the 2020 election.
Details: The prosecutor alleges to have proof that the Trump campaign illegally tapped into the voting machine systems in Coffee County, Georgia, and plans to bring charges against more than a dozen individuals who helped access the voting machines.
What happened: The voter files of Coffee Country were breached by sympathetic Trump supporters in January of 2021 in order to prove the election was stolen. The charges being brought forth argue that the breach was not an organic effort from Trump supporters or approved by local election officials but a top-down directive from Donald Trump or his team.
Notable: Given court rules in Fulton County, Georgia, this could be a televised trial, which would be the only televised trial related to President Trump.
My take: I have a hard time envisioning a jury, even in Fulton County, will convict the former President. I wrote extensively about the process and RICO charges here.
Border
Heavily armed cartel gunmen were seen crossing the southern border prompting fresh scrutiny of the Biden administration’s border management. Two of the gunmen were apprehended with armor-piercing AR-15 rounds of ammunition and were tied to an international criminal enterprise.
New: As migrants continue flocking across the Texas border at the rate of 6,000 per day, Gov. Greg Abbot has been bussing them to sanctuary cities across the country for over a year. The move has prompted the Mayor of New York City and the Governor of Massachusetts to declare a state of emergency over their respective migrant crises.
That’s not all: Multiple Democrats are stepping forward to publically criticize the Biden administration’s handling of the border and the unsustainably high levels of illegal immigrants in their cities and states. As NBC explains, the White House is in an unwinnable position:
The Biden administration has clearly not wanted to put the intractable issues on the border front and center. There aren’t easy answers, and there hasn’t been much in the way of successful bipartisan compromise on the issue in some time — debates about the border are more likely to end up boiling over than landing on a solution.
Todd: Chuck Todd on Meet The Press said Greg Abbott was right: “I guess Greg Abbott was right. He said once he got blue cities to deal with this, that they would be very upset at the federal government."
Data: Texas reports that over 900 children have been rescued from human traffickers at the border.

RFK Abortion Pivot
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. flip-flopped on his abortion stance in a matter of hours yesterday igniting a media firestorm.
What happened: In Iowa yesterday, Kennedy claimed to support a national ban on abortion after the first three months of pregnancy. After significant backlash from the left, Kennedy’s team walked back the statement claiming he understood the question posed by NBC at the Iowa State Fair because the “exhibit hall was noisy.”
