Clip of the day:
Objects Objects Objects!
The United States and Canada seemingly have more questions than answers after a fourth object - not balloon - was shot down over Lake Huron. The two main questions are 1) What are these objects? The Pentagon says objects two and three are not balloons. 2) Are there suddenly more of them or have they always been there? Information is sparse at best.
The concern: The infamous original China spy balloon was first detected at 60,000 feet - well above the trajectory of commercial airliners. Objects two and three were shot down at 40,000 feet while object four was shot down at 20,000 feet which is well within commercial flight paths.
Bonus: The U.S. Air Force general overseeing North American airspace is refusing to rule out extraterrestrial origins. lol
2024 Presidential Movement
Tim Scott: Former Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner and veteran Republican operative Rob Collins were hired by Tim Scott to run a PAC that will support his political efforts. Senator Scott is holding events in Iowa and South Carolina, a major signal he is nearing an announcement.
Nikki Haley: On Wednesday at 11 AM in Charleson, South Carolina, Nikki Haley will announce her presidential candidacy. This will make her the second declared Republican candidate after Donald Trump.
Vivek Ramaswamy: The popular Tucker Carlson guest who regularly rails against ESG and woke capitalism traveled to Iowa to test out his message ahead of a potential 2024 announcement. Ramaswamy is a wealthy tech/healthcare entrepreneur and author of multiple NYT bestselling books.
Ron DeSantis: The New York Times offered rare praise for Ron DeSantis saying he “has a lot more in common with Barack Obama or Ronald Reagan” than the multitude of recently hyped presidential candidates who ultimately failed. While DeSantis has not announced his 2024 ambitions, Bloomberg reported his team is quietly interviewing consultants to work for a presidential campaign.
Is This Holding?
The result of the Super Bowl hinged on this play being called as holding. Whether you agree or not, Eagle’s James Bradberry said “I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide.”
