Canceling Student Loans
Phil Mattingly at CNN is reporting that the Biden administration is “leaning toward” canceling up to $10K of student loan debt for every American earning less than $125K. The announcement could come as early as tomorrow.
Confirmed: Biden’s Failed Saudi Trip
Backstory: Joe Biden made the controversial visit to Saudi Arabia earlier this year and gave the infamous fist bump to Mohammed bin Salman who (basically) oversaw the killing of Washington Post reporter Jamal Khashoggi.
Update: Biden’s team made the calculation that the trip was worth it if Biden could convince Mohammed bin Salman to produce more oil. Well, it appears Saudi Arabia was unimpressed.
FBI Searched Data of Millions of Americans Without Warrants
This is from Bloomberg:
“The FBI searched emails, texts and other electronic communications of as many as 3.4 million U.S. residents without a warrant over a year, the nation’s top spy chief said in a report.
The “queries” were made between December 2020 and November 2021 by Federal Bureau of Investigation personnel as they looked for signs of threats and terrorists within electronic data legally collected under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, according to an annual transparency report issued Friday by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.”

Did Florida ban state school libraries from carrying “To Kill a Mockingbird” as part of their efforts to prevent children from reading inappropriate books? Of course not. But so much misinformation has circulated about Florida’s “banned book list” that even AP News did a fact check confirming the status.

What a sad-looking child!
I guess Byron York was hoping no one would actually read said letter. Or perhaps Biden said something that this letter refutes? If so, is anyone surprised that Biden can't remember what he said or did yesterday much less 6 months ago?
