Panic: Democrats Have A Biden Problem
Democrats are panicked this morning after a New York Times poll claims Biden is behind Donald Trump in five key swing states Biden won in 2020. Trump is ahead of Biden by four in Pennsylvania, five in Michigan, five in Arizona, six in Georgia, and ten in Nevada. Wisconsin was the only swing state where Biden maintained a negligible lead.
This is bad: 71% of respondents said Biden is too old to run while only 38% said the same of Donald Trump despite only three years separating them. After Biden dominated the youth vote in 2020, Trump and Biden are statistically tied among voters under 30. A shocking 22% of black voters backed Trump in the six swing states.
This is worse: Joe Biden's own 2020 pollster published a parallel opinion piece in the New York Times under the title, “Joe Biden is in Trouble.” David Axelrod went a step further asking if it is “wise” for Biden to remain in the 2024 race.
History: While the Biden team is publically shrugging off the poll claiming that polls this far out are inconsequential, the same NYT poll conducted four years ago showed Biden as the most electable Democrat against Trump.

Splitting Gaza
The Israeli military has successfully reached the Mediterranean Sea effectively splitting Gaza into the north and the south. The move allows Israeli forces to make the deliberate but dangerous push into Gaza’s northern Gaza City where Hamas’s tunnel network and headquarters are located.
Related: Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh met with Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei according to Iranian state media. Though Iran denies involvement, the Wall Street Journal (paywall) reports that Iran trained Hamas terrorists and assisted in planning the October 7th attacks.
Trump in Court
Donald Trump took the stand in New York’s civil fraud trial against him at 9 AM and things aren’t going well. Judge Engoron has admonished Trump at least three times for giving campaign speeches instead of answering questions. The judge went so far as to ask Trump’s lawyers to “get your client under control.”
Trump quote while on the stand: “This is a very unfair trial. Very, very and I hope the public is watching.”
Judge Arthur Engoron after Trump dodges yes or no question: "Mr. Kise (Trump’s attorney) that was a simple yes or no question. We got another speech. I beseech you to control him if you can. If you can’t I will. I will I excuse him and draw every negative inference that I can."

Market snapshot:
Where was security at the London National Gallery? Any time I’ve walked within inches of a painting at most major museums, the security guards are heading over to tell me to move back. Looks like an inside job to me!
**** On a more serious note - did the large pro-Palestine protest in DC this weekend scare anyone else and what it says about the safety/security of our Jewish brothers and sisters? ****
I was glad to read Ackman's letter to Harvard. But talking is one thing, taking action is quite another. Money talks. Let the donors walk...
