Biden Pauses Disinformation Board
The Washington Post is claiming Biden’s newly minted Disinformation Board will not proceed at this time. The article is written by far left-wing writer Taylor Lorenz and hilariously places the blame on right-wing “coordinated online attacks” against department head Nina Jankowicz. Lorenz was unable to provide proof of the alleged attacks and ignored Jankowicz's long history of promoting misinformation. Here’s what I said about Jankowicz just a few weeks ago.
SCOTUS Violence
The Department of Homeland Security authored a memo obtained by Axios stating a potential surge in political violence is expected after the Supreme Court rules on Roe v. Wade. From Axios:
Law enforcement agencies are investigating social-media threats to burn down or storm the Supreme Court building and murder justices and their clerks, as well as attacks targeting places of worship and abortion clinics.
Gun Production Triples
Gun production has tripled since the year 2000 according to the ATF. The production of domestic firearms surged to 11.3 million in 2020, a dramatic increase from the 3.9 million guns produced in 2000. Here’s more from CBS:
In the 20-year period the ATF focused on, the most popular gun type in the U.S. shifted. Prior to 2009, rifles were the dominant firearm, according to the report. Starting in 2010 and nearly every year after, pistols became the most popular.
Energy Costs Are Soaring
The average household is expected to spend $5,000 over the next 12 months on gas alone. This figure is up from $2,800 a year ago. The cost of electricity is also on the rise with prices jumping as summer approaches.
