Saturday Night Live
Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live that left NBC executives in panic mode after a Republican member of the Federal Communications Commission claimed the appearance was a violation of the Equal Time rule.
Details: FCC commissioner Brendon Carr tweeted this:
This is a clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC's Equal Time rule. The purpose of the rule is to avoid exactly this type of biased and partisan conduct - a licensed broadcaster using the public airwaves to exert its influence for one candidate on the eve of an election. Unless the broadcaster offered Equal Time to other qualifying campaigns.
After Carr’s statement, NBC agreed to self-report the violation and allow Trump to place a 60-second spot at the end of last night’s Sunday Night Football game. Here it is:
Where Are Trump and Harris Today?
As Donald Trump crisis crosses multiple swing states on the final day of this election cycle, Kamala Harris is hunkering down in Pennsylvania.
Details: Harris started this morning in Joe Biden’s hometown of Scranton and will primarily be focused on the 580,000 Pennsylvanians of Latino descent who overwhelmingly have ties to Puerto Rico. The strategy comes after Democrats claim internal polling has revealed an opening to exploit the ill-fated remarks of a comedian at the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden. Kamala Harris will conclude her campaign on Monday night at a rally in Pittsburg with musical performances by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, and remarks by Oprah.
Trump’s schedule: Donald Trump started today in Raleigh, North Carolina before heading to Reading and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to counter Harris’s persuasion to Latino voters. Finally, Donald Trump will end his campaign in the same place he ended his 2016 campaign: Grand Rapids, Michigan. From there, Trump plans to return to his Palm Beach home where he will vote and await election results.
As the rest of the country awaits returns tomorrow, The New York Times (paywall) put together a helpful graphic on when returns can be expected.

Iowa Surprise?
Famed Iowa pollster Ann Selzer published a shocking weekend poll that showed the ruby-red state of Iowa favoring Kamala Harris by three points thanks to last-minute swings by women and older voters to the left. Even Selzner said, “It’s hard for anybody to say they saw this coming.”
While the poll is most likely an outlier, it raises the question as to whether Selzer is picking up last-minute trends that can be extrapolated outside of Iowa. Full story here.

Market snapshot:
Marc Short’s comments have some merit yet it shows how out of touch many in the DC Establishment are. While a Trump loss will cause a relook of some of the stands he took which moderated the Republican’s longstanding views on life and marriage, I hear almost no one - including Erick - talking about how a Harris loss and particularly a large loss - will cause the Democrats to relook their progressive lunacy of abortion up to birth, transgender surgery for children, DEI instead of meritocracy, open borders, free government cash, and the list goes on. If the Democrats don’t lose and lose big they will continue down the progressive rabbit hole until they never can get out.
If Harris wins the culprit will be the neocons in the GOP.
