“Freak Out Mode”
Politico claims a “pervasive sense of fear has settled in at the highest levels of the Democratic Party” over the growing realization that President Biden is significantly behind Donald Trump in the polls.
Details: More than a dozen leading figures in the Democratic Party claim a “palpable trepidation” has overtaken the party less than six months before election day. The same sources claim the positive spin that Biden surrogates tell CNN and other outlets is a complete reversal from the text messages and emails they confidentially share with other party leaders.
Context: As Democrats bet that Trump’s New York hush money trial would undo much of his support, the former President has only gone up in the polls and drastically out-fundraised Biden in the month of April. Meanwhile, Biden’s own legal problems begin next week with the start of Hunter Biden’s felony gun trial beginning on Monday.
Hunter: The stripper who Hunter Biden fathered a child with is publishing a tell-all memoir with a line from her publisher alluding to “revelations that could well impact the outcome of the 2024 election.” The book will be released the same week as the Democratic National Convention in August.

The EV Problem
The White House launched a plan to build 500,000 EV chargers by the end of 2030 through a $7.5 billion earmark in 2021. Currently, only 8 have been built.
Details: As the White House pushes to phase out gas vehicles in favor of EVs, significant questions about the viability of the nation’s charging network have been raised. In order for such a transition to occur, more than 134 million EV chargers would need to be built. Currently, there are less than 190,000.
Ouch: Margaret Brennan on CBS audibly laughed when Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg attempted to defend the White House’s plan:

🔻 Market snapshot:
Odds and ends:
1) What the MSM doesn't understand is that inflation is like a ratchet. Inflation could go to zero, and prices won't go down one cent. You have to have deflation for prices to go down. And if you have a low or negative net worth, you would hate deflation as the value of your debt would increase in absolute terms.
2) Who is behind The Other 98%? They put out more B.S. than Black Kow does.
3) I'd love to see Kemp go up against Pajama Boy. Beware, though--PJ Boy is a helluva retail politicker. Not as easy as one might think.
He might make a decision after this election; if Trump wins, the Trumpy candidates will be teed up for '28. If he loses, just the opposite. Kemp would fall in the latter group.
