Attorney General Pam Bondi?

Hours after Matt Gaetz withdrew his name from consideration, Donald Trump announced the nomination of Pam Bondi for Attorney General.

Profile: As the former Attorney General for the state of Florida from 2011 to 2019, Pam Bondi won her first primary thanks to an early endorsement from Sarah Palin. Bondi rose to fame by publically taking on Obamacare and gay rights in the state of Florida.

Reaction: The progressives at MSNBC are melting down over the Pam Bondi nomination “because she's competent." Meanwhile, here’s what CNN legal analyst Elie Honig said:

"Pam Bondi is, without a question, qualified to be Attorney General. She's been a prosecutor for 20 years in Florida. For 8 of those, she was the Attorney General of the state. That's a very big, very complicated job‚ and that level of experience is on par with, or better than most United States Attorneys General that we've seen over the past 50 years or so."

🚨 NYT: China’s Hacking Reached Deep Into U.S. Telecoms

China’s recent breach of the innermost workings of the U.S. telecommunications system reached far deeper than the Biden administration has described, the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said on Thursday, with hackers able to listen in on telephone conversations and read text messages.

“The barn door is still wide open, or mostly open,” the Democratic chairman, Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, a former telecommunications executive, said in an interview on Thursday.
