Five Must-Watch Moments From The CNN Interview

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz sat for the campaigns first interview with CNN’s Dana Bash that aired last night at 9 PM. Here are the highlights:

ONE - When Dana Bash asked Kamala Harris what her Day One priority in the White House would be, Harris’s answer was such a jumbled word salad that Bash asked the question again.

TWO - Kamala Harris claimed that she has never opposed a ban on fracking.

The above claim was so blatantly false that even CNN called her out later that night:

THREE - Kamala Harris claimed that Bidenomics was a success before pivoting to claim that prices are still too high.

FOUR - Kamala Harris has no regrets for covering up Joe Biden’s cognitive declines.

FIVE - Tim Walz defended his repeated lies about combat military service by blaming his poor grammar.

Bret Stephens at The New York Times: “A bigger weakness in the interview was the presence of Harris’s running mate, Tim Walz. Though the Minnesota governor delivered a fine speech at the Democratic National Convention (brightly enhanced by his cheering son Gus), he was transparently evasive in answering Bash’s questions about his misstatement about his military service, false claims about a D.U.I. arrest and misleading statements about his family’s fertility treatments. If there are other lies or untruths in Walz’s record, the campaign ought to get ahead of them now.”

Donald Trump rocked the political world last night by 1) claiming he would force insurance companies to cover IVF treatments under a Trump administration and 2) announcing his support of Florida’s Amendment 4 which would expand abortion access in the state beyond six weeks.

“I think the six-week is too short, there has to be more time… I am gonna be voting that we need more than six weeks."

Casey DeSantis: “Amendment 4’s ambiguous language would allow late term abortions where a baby can feel pain, it would eliminate Florida’s parental consent law and eliminate the requirement that only licensed doctors perform abortions, and it would open the door to taxpayer funded abortions. This Soros-backed amendment is extreme and would jeopardize the health and safety of moms and children. We must spread the word and vote NO on 4!” - X

Al Mohler: “Former President Trump now appears determined to undermine his prolife supporters. His criticism of Florida abortion restrictions & his call for government funding of IVF & his recent statement about “reproductive rights” seem almost calculated to alienate prolife voters.” - X
