Walker Takes The Lead
Yesterday we covered the new poll from Emerson Polling that has Herschel Walker with a 2-point lead over Raphael Warnock following backlash from Biden’s student loan plan. Today we have another brand new poll out from Trafalgar that has Walker with a similar lead:

Biden’s Approval Tanks
Joe Biden’s approval rating fell to 38% according to Reuters/IPSOS as Republicans continue to push attack ads on Biden’s student loan plan. Here’s a sample of what’s rolling out in swing states around the country:
According to Reuters, Biden’s approval rating hit a fresh high of 41% just before the White House rolled out the student loan plan last week.
Economic Slow Down?
300,000 jobs were projected to be added to the economy in August following a massive 268,000 gain in July. However, private payrolls in August added a paltry 132,000 positions. The news comes after Jerome Powell’s market-jarring speech in Jackson Hole, Wyoming last week regarding the fed’s determination to reign in inflation through additional rate hikes. Reminder: raising interest rates slows the economy which cools off inflation.
The plan appears to be working. In addition to slowed hiring, markets dropped four consecutive days following Powell’s remarks.
