No recession?
Despite a strong jobs report, soaring natural gas and electricity prices are forcing industrial and manufacturing plants to close at an alarming rate. Bloomberg reports that domestic natural gas prices jumped 300% in June and forecasts electricity rates for industrial plants to hit a record high before summer ends. Plants in Europe are in a worse predicament with natural gas jumping 700% in recent months and electricity rates well into record territory.
Kavanaugh Harassed at Dinner
Brett Kavanaugh was harassed by protestors at a DC Morton’s Steakhouse and was forced to exit through the back per Politico. Morton’s came out with a strong statement condemning what happened.
Army Cuts Off More Than 60K Unvaccinated Guard and Reserve Soldiers from Pay and Benefits
This is from Military.com:
Some 40,000 National Guard and 22,000 Reserve soldiers who refused to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are no longer allowed to participate in their military duties, also effectively cutting them off from some of their military benefits, Army officials announced Friday.
"Soldiers who refuse the vaccination order without an approved or pending exemption request are subject to adverse administrative actions, including flags, bars to service, and official reprimands," an Army spokesperson said in a statement.
Biden Polling
A new batch of polling from the left-leaning Civiqs poll has Joe Biden’s approval rating at 30%. The most damning bit of information is the approval numbers in swing states. Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Nevada, Missouri, and Ohio all have Biden under 30%. Full story at Hotair.
Putin’s Message To Ukraine

With Russia’s military action in Ukraine in its fifth month, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday warned Kyiv that it should quickly accept Moscow’s terms or brace for the worst, adding ominously that Russia has barely started its action.
