Egypt
The Egyptian government is preventing Americans and other nationals from escaping through the Rafah crossing at the Egyptian border as the humanitarian crisis continues to devolve in Gaza. Between 500-600 Americans are estimated to be stuck inside the densely populated strip as Israel prepares to invade from the north.
Bad to worse: The Egyptians are also preventing water, food, fuel, medical supplies, and other humanitarian aid from being delivered to the Palestinians in southern Gaza despite encouragement from Israel and the United States. The situation is so dire in southern Gaza, that the WSJ reports many residents are fleeing north towards the bombings.
Iran Threatens Israel
An Iranian foreign minister said that if Israel launches a ground operation inside Gaza, Iran will respond against Israel. The threat is significant because apart from its nuclear capabilities, Iran controls the Hezbollah militants in Lebanon which are viewed as a superior fighting force to Hamas in Gaza.
Response: The United States sent a second carrier strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean Sea as an act of deterrence for Iran and anyone else in the region.
Biden: While Biden reiterated his support of Israel on 60 Minutes and warned anyone in the region against escalating the situation, he did not formally endorse a ground operation in Gaza and cautioned Israel against reoccupying the region.
Hamas
As the number of confirmed Israeli deaths topped 1400 over the weekend, Israel increased its estimate of the number of captives held inside Gaza to 199. Some of these are likely Americans. The US has confirmed 30 American deaths but lists 13 more as missing.
Ad: The War On Cash
A staggering $3.1 million in cash, property, and vehicles were seized and kept from individuals in Minnesota last year who were not convicted of a crime. The issue at hand is called Civil Asset Forfeiture and is a preferred weapon of the federal government’s war against cash. My friends at Swiss America explain in this white paper how the federal government uses the war against cash to spy on Americans and limit your economic freedoms. Get The Secret War On Cash here."
Speaker Tomorrow?
The House of Representatives will vote tomorrow on whether Jim Jordan will be the next Speaker. After securing enough votes to earn the Republican nomination on Friday, Jordan faces an uphill challenge convincing the 55 GOP detractors who claimed on Friday’s secret ballot that they wouldn’t vote for him. However, The Messenger says Jordan is making significant progress.
Pressure: Jordan has faced much criticism for implementing a pressure campaign that included roping in Sean Hannity to press the Never-Jordan GOP faction. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a Jordan backer, criticized the pressure campaign telling CNN, “That is the dumbest way to support Jordan.”

Market snapshot:
"While Biden reiterated his support of Israel on 60 Minutes and warned anyone in the region against escalating the situation..."
His words were hallow and his threats empty. Nobody in the world stage respects the power or might of America and none of our Allies will trust us if we did get involved given the results of Afghan. History will show that this started only because Biden provided cash support for Iran and all of the equipment left in the hands of the terrorists in Afghanistan. As i said before. Don't be surprised if we re-invade Afghanistan as we will most certainly have to in a very soon point in the future. I predict next year.
Secondly, America is ill prepared to go to war or even get involved in any military conflict. We do have the most capable and most mechanized military in the world, but the quality of our leaders to effectively deploy and fight a war is very compromised. In a heated contested battle, would our leaders have the know how or motivation to continue a fight beyond a month? doubtful.
Lastly, Biden does not support Israel and is only saying so publicly to pacify the media. If you watched the interview, when he said or mentioned that he supported Israel his eyebrows went up. A tell sign of lying.
I so enjoyed reading the interview with Condi, such a brilliant mind whose super power is to understand and then articulate the essence of these fractious, difficult situations. I miss her strong, confident presence on the world stage, and hope that those in key positions would seek out her knowledge of these matters. Some of our politicians need a hefty dose of humility so they can benefit from her experience. Will they?
