Kamala’s Pseudo Interview
After facing widespread backlash over her lack of media interviews, Kamala Harris announced that she will be sitting down for an interview (pretaped) with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle tonight at 7 PM.
The problem: Stephanie Ruhle is not an impartial reporter but a partisan Democrat who has aggressively defended Harris on multiple occasions. This interview follows her friendly interview with Oprah last week. Some on the left will point to Ruhle’s time as Bloomberg’s editor-at-large to tout her credentials but watch her incredulous defense of Kamala Harris when Bret Stephens dared to suggest that Harris should sit down for media interviews.
There is heightened pressure for more (or any) formal, solo interviews as questions continue to emerge regarding what Kamala Harris currently believes. Two major issues have resurfaced in the past 24 hours thanks to reporting from Alex Thompson at Axios.
Dreamers: Harris has previously promised to unilaterally mandate a pathway to citizenship for 2 million "Dreamers" - illegal immigrants who were brought to the US as children. But after positioning herself as a "border state prosecutor" against Trump, Harris is backing away from this promise.
“Every day in the life of a Dreamer who fears deportation is a long day, said Harris in 2019. “Dreamers cannot afford to sit around and wait for Congress to get its act together. Their lives are on the line." Apparently, Harris no longer believes this.
Death penalty: Kamala Harris has a long history of opposing the death penalty calling it a “cruel and unusual form of punishment" in 2016. But after the Democratic Party dropped their opposition to the death penalty at their summer convention, Kamala Harris refuses to say whether she supports or opposes it.
Hezbollah
Israel intercepted a ballistic missile from Hezbollah aimed at Mossad’s Tel Aviv headquarters in response to last week’s strikes on Beirut. The unprecedented attack is an undeniable escalation that raises the prospect of an all-out war.
Response: Israel responded by killing Hezbollah’s top missile commander and two other militant leaders in a southern Beirut suburb.
Breaking: The Biden administration is crafting a diplomatic initiative that would pause the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah and would resume the negotiations for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. The details could be announced by the end of today.
Politico: ‘He should be doing better’: Even some Trump allies see him veering off course
Donald Trump was meeting privately in mid-September with one of his oldest friends, Steve Wynn, when the casino mogul and Republican mega-donor delivered the former president a blunt warning: You’re off message, and it isn’t helping.
Trump had been distracted, in Wynn’s view. The former president at the time was promoting a conspiracy theory that Haitian immigrants were eating people’s cats and dogs in Ohio, among other things. To drive home his point, Wynn showed Trump polling and suggested the former president would be better off focusing on policy issues where Republicans see his opponent, Kamala Harris, as vulnerable, according to two people briefed on the meeting and granted anonymity to describe it.

WSJ: China-Linked Hackers Breach U.S. Internet Providers in New ‘Salt Typhoon’ Cyberattack
Hackers linked to the Chinese government have broken into a handful of U.S. internet-service providers in recent months in pursuit of sensitive information, according to people familiar with the matter.
The hacking campaign, called Salt Typhoon by investigators, hasn’t previously been publicly disclosed and is the latest in a series of incursions that U.S. investigators have linked to China in recent years. The intrusion is a sign of the stealthy success Beijing’s massive digital army of cyberspies has had breaking into valuable computer networks in the U.S. and around the globe.

Market snapshot:
Fear is flying in the board rooms of the woke media.
When Trump wins it will be a 4-year free for all in the press. Clickbait ratings will skyrocket.
IF Kammie wins it will be 4 years of being locked out and having to pretend there is still a free press. Layoffs for everyone, even the strokers and liars over at CNN.
