Kemp vs Abrams
Brian Kemp has widened his lead over Stacey Abrams to 8-points according to the Fox 5 poll. His lead increased from a 5-point spread earlier this summer. Kemp won 68% of white voters and edged out Abrams in every age group surveyed. Here’s what the pollster said:
"Kemp has support from 50% of independents. With two months to go, Kemp would seem poised to potentially escape Georgia’s General Election runoff requirement."
Warnock’s Income
Raphael Warnock’s church paid him $90k last year as a “parsonage allowance” that also served as a tax haven. The excessive tax-free housing allowance raised questions following the news that Warnock doubled his income since taking office. Get the full story here.
The same Fox 5 poll referenced above has Warnock trailing Walker by three points.
Oberlin College
A jury ordered Oberlin College to pay $36.59 million to a local bakery after the progressive college publically backed students who falsely accused the bakery of racism. The event (chronicled here) upended the bakery’s business and led to harassment of the owners and employees. Oberlin appealed the decision to the Ohio Supreme Court who ultimately declined to hear the case. Oberlin has an endowment of nearly $1 billion.
