Killing Russian Generals
The New York Times has a shocking piece this morning confirming that U.S. intelligence is actively providing the Ukrainian military information to target and kill Russian generals. The Ukrainian military has killed an eye-popping 12 generals on the frontlines of the war. Here’s more from the story:
The targeting help is part of a classified effort by the Biden administration to provide real-time battlefield intelligence to Ukraine. That intelligence also includes anticipated Russian troop movements gleaned from recent American assessments of Moscow’s secret battle plan for the fighting in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, the officials said.

Trouble in Biden-Harris World
Kamala Harris is distancing herself from President Biden’s push to tackle student loan forgiveness by refusing to appear in a social media video with Biden on the subject. The Biden administration is resisting the urges of progressive Democrats to unilaterally cancel student loans and instead is taking a piecemeal approach. Politico confirms that Harris is concerned about angering progressives and refuses to be the face of the Biden initiative. Go deeper with Politico.
Investigating The SCOTUS Leak
The investigation into the leaked draft of Justice Alito’s majority opinion in regards to Roe v. Wade is in the hands of a retired Army colonel with untested investigative powers according to The Wall Street Journal. The Supreme Court Police Department is not known to have conducted an investigation since its origin. This is from The Wall Street Journal:
Chief Justice Roberts’s decision to rely on the marshal, rather than enlisting a large agency like the FBI, suggests the court wants to keep the controversy in-house, court observers said. Other law-enforcement agencies with potential jurisdiction fall under the executive branch, the District of Columbia city government or, in the case of the Capitol Police, Congress; the marshal reports only to the court.
…
But in this case, Justice Department involvement might not be an option; unlike leaks of classified information, which can be unlawful, the disclosure of internal Supreme Court documents might not qualify as a crime, Mr. Dwyer and others said. “Even if you could find a statute that applied, you’d have a really hard time in the courts,” he said.
