Note From Erick: Meta Knows the Hour
I actually hate the phrase people yell these days — “Don’t you know what time it is?” Yes, I wear a watch. It’s a cutesy phrase that is often hurled at people who are supposed to abandon their principles or behaviors in light of something new when, to quote scripture, "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” Ecc 1:9 (ESV)
But, elections have consequences and one of those consequences is much of corporate America realizing the country had not drifted left, but was rather just dominated by the voices of the left, drowning everyone else out. The left/media turns out to be a paper tiger. Organizations that overcorrected are correcting in a mainstream, normal America way. Meta is an example.
The company, after being assailed and investigated by Democrats and the press, devalued political content from its newsfeed, embraced fact checking, and was not often friendly to those who challenged progressive orthodoxies on gender. Today, the company is changing all of that. It has added Dana White of the UFC to its board; it will move content moderation from California to Texas; it will allow more open discussion on gender issues; and it will abandon its fact checkers for community notes. These are all a welcome breath of fresh air.
Facebook has long been supportive of my conference and been a regular sponsor for things on the right. They have not been as hostile as some claim, but also, I think, over corrected in the face of fierce rage from the left/media and Democrat politicians. The 2024 election has shown that so much of the sound and fury was an amplified paper tiger and Facebook charting a new course for content and moderation is very welcome indeed. The left will, undoubtedly, scream loudly. But they did that in 2024 and most Americans rejected them. Meta can too.
What’s Happening at META?
Facebook’s parent company is ending its third-party fact-checking program and lifting some speech restrictions after admitting its content moderation practices had "gone too far."
Details: META’s platforms will be adopting a Community Notes model that has been popularized on Twitter. Additionally, content policies have been changed to remove restrictions around topics like immigration, gender identity, and gender issues while the content moderation team will be relocated from California to Texas.
Zuckerberg: "We’re going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies and restoring free expression on our platforms… More specifically, we’re going to get rid of fact-checkers and replace them with Community Notes similar to X, starting in the U.S."

John Fetterman Sponsors Lake Riley Act
Democratic Senator John Fetterman was the only Democrat to cosponsor the Laken Riley Act along with 50 Republicans.
Details: The bill would require ICE to detain illegal immigrants found guilty of theft-related crimes and allow states to sue the Department of Homeland Security for harm caused to their citizens by illegal immigrants.

Pierre Poilievre is the perfect example of trolling a dishonest media. The reporter comes out and asks questions and spouts key phrases, a common tool of the left, but can't really get specific on details. Like what is a populist? Site me a page number or an example of what was said. A lot of that happens when referring to Jan 6th. ( Or janteenth as it may be now known ). The whole argument of the leftist agenda is argued on baseless information because its NOT true.
Ex: Boys in girls sports..
I hear allot of the left saying its not an issue, its isolated and doesn't really affect the sport. WRONG. I coach in youth female sports. Its a HUGE problem. Even though Kemp supposedly has banned it, its not enforced and teams continue to welcome males on to their teams. Mostly schools in Forsyth which is quickly becoming a liberal progressive heck hole.
Point being, when someone from leftist media calls someone else a populist or even a racist, they can't back that up with what exactly that means nor any instances. Namely, point a time when Trump was racist? And then define for me by instance what exactly is a populist and tell me what's so bad about it.
Often referring to Hitlers actions as populist, ok then tell me where Trump has implemented any Hitler type policies? Please cite those instances and give me evidence.
Answer: Its not there because it doesn't exist.
The only misinformation being thrown around is put out by lefties and they are not going to stop just because they lost.
Their strategy now is not to change but rebrand and re-message. Bud light and others have tried to do this after swaying too far left, and have been unsuccessful.
The left has lost it.
