BREAKING: SCOTUS Immigration Decision
Texas does not have standing to challenge the President's handling of immigration at the border according to a SCOTUS decision released just this morning in an 8-1 majority. The lopsided majority was due to a procedural technicality that would have resulted in a much closer 5-4 decision.
What does this mean: States cannot force the President of the United States to enforce congressional laws in a manner they prefer. The President has longstanding discretion as head of the executive branch to implement laws as he deems appropriate. Kavanaugh noted that "other forums remain open" pointing to congressional action.
NEW: The IRS Whistleblower
The IRS agent who oversaw the agency’s investigation into Hunter Biden claims the Justice Department hampered and undercut the investigation from the beginning.
Who is the whistleblower: Gary Shapley, an IRS agent since 2009, sought whistleblower status in April of this year over alleged misdeed in the probe of Hunter Biden. A second unnamed IRS agent has sought whistleblower status and corroborated Shapley’s statements to the House Ways and Means Committee in transcripts that were just released last night. Here are the claims they made
Claim 1: Hunter Biden explicitly traded on the name of his father and implied through subpoenaed Whats App messages sent to a Chinese businessman that Joe Biden was aware he was doing it. Here’s one message:
“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me (Joe Biden) and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
Claim 2: Hunter Biden expensed prostitutes and a pricey membership to an LA sex club as a business expense. In any other circumstance, Shapley claimed the evidence is a textbook case for tax evasion which would carry a much stiffer penalty than the paltry misdemeanor Hunter was granted. Here’s Shapley’s quote:
“There was a $25,000 to one of his girlfriends and it said, ‘golf membership.’ And then we went out and followed that money it was for a sex club membership in LA. ... There were multiple examples of prostitutes that were ordered basically, and we have all the communications between that where he would pay for these prostitutes, would book them a flight where even the flight ticket showed their name. And then he expensed those.”
Side note: The founder of the sex club exclusively told The New York Post that Hunter Biden was kicked out “grabbing women’s asses” and acting “like a spoiled child.” He went on to say that Hunter is “a really bad guy — not a good person.”
Claim 3: President Biden’s appointed US Attorney refused to allow President Trump's holdover attorney to bring charges against Hunter Biden in the DC district according to Shapley. Additionally, when Shapley expressed interest in interviewing some of Hunter Biden’s children, the director said “it will get us into hot water if we interview the President’s grandchildren.”

NBC sub-headline....
The ruling allows the Biden administration to adopt a border policy that prioritizes public safety threats.
Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas welcomed the decision, saying the policy allows immigration officers "to focus limited resources and enforcement actions on those who pose a threat to our national security, public safety and border security."
