Clip of the day:
Where’s Mayor Pete?
Railroad companies and union leaders averted a national strike that would have sent fragile supply chains into disarray and hiked energy prices. The negotiations were concluded early this morning with a tentative handshake agreement that is expected to hold. While Labor secretary Marty Walsh handled the negotiations, Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg was touring the Detroit Auto Show.
Buttigieg's habit of missing important moments on the job was previously highlighted when he took an extended paternity leave and no know noticed he was gone.
Schumer: “Dems Will Lose The House”
In a popular Italian restaurant on Capitol Hill, Chuck Schumer admitted to six fellow Democratic Senators that Democrats will lose the House and Nancy Pelosi is “in trouble.” The surprising statement comes just days after Pelosi claimed Democrats would hold and House and add to their majority. Schumer alluded to potential problems holding the Senate placing the odds at only 60% in a very favorable year. The majority leader went so far as saying Mark Kelly may be toast in Arizona WITH MARK KELLY AT THE TABLE. This is from Punchbowl:
With Kelly at the table, Schumer said the Arizona Senate race would tighten if tech billionaire Peter Thiel started spending money to boost Republican Blake Masters.
NBC Protects Fetterman
NBC published this story claiming that all of the cringy videos of Pennsylvania’s Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman are deceptively edited to highlight the candidate’s deficits following a stroke early in the campaign. There’s just one problem: the clips aren’t doctored and Fetterman has real problems.
While NBC covers for Fetterman, here are other headlines:

DeSantis
Ron DeSantis made good on a promise to send illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities by flying two plane loads to Martha’s Vinyard. This is from The New York Post:
A spokesperson for the Republican governor confirmed in a statement to the outlet that the flights were “part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary destinations.”
“States like Massachusetts, New York and California will better facilitate the care of these individuals who they have invited into our country by incentivizing illegal immigration through their designation as ‘sanctuary states’ and support for the Biden administration’s open border policies,” said Taryn Fenske, the governor’s communication director.
