Let The Civil War Begin

Kamala Harris called Donald Trump to concede the race before taking the stage at Howard University to give a concession speech yesterday at 4 pm. Shortly after, President Biden called President-Elect Trump as well.

Shots fired: Longtime Obama advisor David Plouffe made an underhanded swipe at Biden claiming the Harris team “dug out of a deep hole but not enough.”

Shots fired back: Bidenworld responded in Politico saying, “There is no singular reason why we lost, but a big reason is because the Obama advisers publicly encouraged Democratic infighting to push Joe Biden out, didn’t even want Kamala Harris as the nominee, and then signed up as the saviors of the campaign only to run outdated Obama-era playbooks for a candidate that wasn’t Obama.”

The statements underscore the underreported animosity between the Obama team and the Biden team. Kamala Harris unsuccessfully attempted to merge key figures in both camps which resulted in a plethora of issues that manifested itself in key moments on the campaign trail.

Debt: After raising more than $1 billion dollars in less than 100 days, the Kamala Harris team is ending her campaign with more than $20 million in debt according to Politico. A Puck News reporter claims her sources are telling her the Harris campaign is selling their massive email list to make up the difference.

The Ad That Changed Everything

The Trump campaign started running the infamous transgender ad of Kamala Harris claiming that transgender inmates would have access to taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries under her administration. The ad featured ‘Charlamagne tha God’ and his cohosts incredulously questioning Harris’s decision to do this.

Harris’s own Super PAC confirmed the Trump ad shifted the race by 2.7% by underscoring Trump’s message that Harris is “dangerously liberal.”

Before the degree of the ad’s impact was known, Bill Clinton offered a private, ominous warning to the Harris team claiming, “We have to answer it and say we won’t do it.” Just like Hillary Clinton’s team ignored his advice about the Blue Wall in 2016, the Harris team brushed him aside claiming the Trump ad was unimportant.

Adding salt to the wound, a Biden official told The Atlantic today that Harris’s refusal to respond to Trump’s transgender ad was completely unacceptable. Here’s the quote: "Biden, allies say, never would have let such attacks stand. He would have clearly rejected the idea of trans women competing in women’s sports."

Democrats, for their part, might ask themselves how exactly they lost to Trump, an ailing 78-year-old who much of the country despises. It probably wasn’t great to cover up President Joe Biden’s infirmities until they became undeniable on live TV. It wasn’t ideal that party elders replaced him with Harris, a nominee who had received no electoral votes and had failed decisively in a previous presidential run.
