Depressed Americans
A growing number of Americans have an increasingly negative view of the country according to new data from Pew Research. A majority of those surveyed see a country in decline with no end in sight. When asked about the state of the United States in 2050:
66% say the country will be weaker.
77% say the country will be more politically divided.
81% say the gap between the rich and poor will grow.
Bud Light
The dethroned top-selling beer in America is aiming to reclaim its title by embarking its top executive on a nationwide listening tour. Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth plans on traveling the country to hear directly from consumers and push the new slogan, "easy to drink and easy to enjoy." After the controversy first began, Whitworth issued a non-apology apology that incensed conservatives further.
Sales of Bud Light were dashed following the ill-advised partnership with trans-activist Dylan Mulvaney. Most estimates place sales of Bud Light down 25% equating to billions of dollars in missed revenue. The owner of one independent wholesaler was so livid he took out radio ads bashing the beer company he distributes.
The market value of right-wing backlash to brands pushing woke ideology has topped $28.7 billion according to new data from Axios.
Protecting Biden?
No Labels has vowed to end its attempt to gain third-party access if Joe Biden is well ahead in the polling ahead of 2024. The co-chair said “No Labels is not and will not be a spoiler in favor of Donald Trump in 2024.”
This scenario appears increasingly unlikely as an ABC poll released earlier this week found Trump and Biden earned matching 31% approval ratings.
To make matters worse, swing voters in North Carolina that supported Biden in 2020 claim they are increasingly concerned by Biden’s age. Here’s the most damning quote:
Most experience negative emotions when they see or hear him speak, and they want Biden to debate any other Democratic primary challenger to prove his mental capacity.
Republicans Target Muslims?
Republicans appear to have a unique opening to make the case for small government to a growing number of devout Muslim families who are offended by LGBTQ initiatives in schools.
Twelve years ago, House Republicans questioned whether the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was a “terrorist organization.” Last week, CAIR was on site at the board meeting, lobbying for a policy that would let Muslim students skip the LGBTQ reading, to fix what Maryland CAIR director Zainab Chaudry called the “growing sense of hurt and betrayal experienced by our communities.”
