The Sunday Sermon: An Isolated Society
I believe isolation is one of the major problems in modern culture that is rarely discussed. Isolation has a myriad of health effects including increased anxiety. The pandemic obviously made it worse, but I believe the problem would still be there despite the virus.
We live busy lives with full schedules and often want to be left alone at the end of the day. If you’re an introvert like me, you completely understand this. However, if you isolate yourself from people beyond your family who care about you, study after study shows that anxiety only increases.
